2007: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in 10 games and started five times. Played a total of 254 minutes. Had one goal and three assists for five points. Had two assists in a season-opening 5-0 win over Saint Martin's on Aug. 23. Also had an assist on a goal by Khadijah Greenwood in the 78th minute of a 1-0 win at California Baptist on Sept. 1. Scored the game's first goal in the seventh minute of a 2-1 win over Humboldt State on Sept. 9. For her career, appeared in 27 games and started 20 times. Played a total of 1,245 minutes. Had five goals and five assists for 15 points.

2006: Made immediate contributions to the Golden Eagles last season. Appeared in 17 games and started 15 times. Played a total of 991 minutes. Finished third on the team in scoring with four goals, two assists and 10 points. Had quite a debut, scoring two goals and adding an assist in the Golden Eagles’ 3-1 win over Notre Dame de Namur to open the season on Aug. 28. Also had the lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Western Washington on Sept. 3 and had the game-tying goal and an assist on the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 20.

At Pasadena City College: Scored four goals and had a total of 10 points as a sophomore in 2005. Had four goals and one assist for a total of nine points as a freshman in 2004.

Personal: Daughter of Maguin Valverde and Teresa Mena. Majoring in Kinesiology/criminal justice. Enjoys reading, watching television, movies and work. Earned academic honors in Costa Rica and was part of the Costa Rican National U-19 team and “A” team Concacaf Tournament Cup. Lists participating in international tournaments as her most exciting experiences in sports.
