Cal State LA Athletics

2007: Had a sensational season for the Golden Eagles in her one year with the program. Appeared in 20 games and started 15 times. Played a total of 990 minutes. Had five goals and three assists for 13 points. Was second on the team in scoring. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention and was one of the top first-year players in the conference. Scored her first goal for the Golden Eagles in a 2-1 win over Humboldt State on Sept. 9 and got her second to lead the Golden Eagles past Cal State San Bernardino, 1-0, on Sept. 16. Had the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory at Cal State Stanislaus on Sept. 28 and also had the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 14. Gave the Golden Eagles an early lead with a goal in the second minute of a 2-1 win over UC San Diego in a first-round CCAA Tournament game on Nov. 2. Made her Cal State L.A. debut and had an assist in a 2-1 win over Cal State San Marcos on Aug. 29. Got her first start and played 48 minutes against Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 14.  

At Temecula Valley High School: Competed in soccer and track and field. Earned first-team All-League and first-team All-Valley honors in 2005-06 and second-team All-Valley honors in 2006-07. Team went undefeated and won a CIF championship in 2006-07. Was a team co-captain. Holds the school 200 record in track and field.

Personal: Daughter of Marc and Annette Menard-Iwane. Majoring in communications. Enjoys dancing, shopping, choir and making people laugh. Lists winning the CIF championship in 2006-07 as her most exciting experience in sports.
