Summary

Biography

2007: Made significant contributions once again for the Golden Eagles in her second and final year with the program. Appeared in four games with one start. Played a total of 166 minutes. Allowed only one goal and had a goals against average of 0.54. Made 10 saves and had a saves percentage of .909. Made her first appearance of the season and played the final 2:31 of a 2-1 win over Humboldt State on Sept. 9. Made her only start and made five saves in a 1-0 overtime loss at Cal Poly Pomona. Played the final 45 minutes and made four saves at Cal State Dominguez Hills and played the final 23 minutes in a 4-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay. For her career, appeared in six games and started twice. Played a total of 321 minutes. Had a record of 0-2-1. Allowed five goals and had a goals against average of 1.40. Made 16 saves and had a saves percentage of .762.

2006: Made her debut for the Golden Eagles last season and appeared in two games. Came in at the start of the second half against Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 17 for an injured Reyna Coca and blanked the Broncos over the final 45 minutes of regulation and through two 10-minute overtime periods. Made two saves. Got her first start against UC San Diego on Sept. 24 and made four saves while allowing four goals. Played a total of 155 minutes for the season and made six saves.
At Mt. San Antonio College: Competed in soccer and softball. Was on a state championship team in softball in 2005 and a state runner-up team in 2006.
At South El Monte High School: Earned first-team and second-team All-League honors in softball and was the team’s Most Valuable Player. Also was a jumper and hurdler in track and field. Earned the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete and Coach’s Awards.
Personal: Daughter of Ladislao Suarez and Leticia de Loera. Majoring in marine biology. Enjoys building model cars, ATV and dirt-bike riding. Lists winning and being a state champion and also blocking three penalty kicks in a penalty shootout in the playoffs at Mt. San Antonio College that enabled the team to advance to the second round as her most exciting experiences in sports.
