Cal State LA Athletics

2009: Was on the roster, but did not compete for the Golden Eagles in her one year with the track and field program.

2008: Competed for the Golden Eagles in cross country in the fall. Finished 61^st in the California Collegiate Athletic Association championships with a time of 25:57.2 over 6,000 meters. Ran in a total of four meets.

At Los Angeles Senior High School: Was a league champion in the 400 meters in track and field and won an award for being the most improved in academics. Took fourth place in the Northern League in her first season of cross country.

Personal: Daughter of Pedro and Ena Cruz. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys running, spending time with family, going to school, playing basketball and going out with friends. Lists winning a league championship in the 400 meters as a senior in high school as her most exciting experience in sports. Gives special thanks to her parents and coaches from high school (Holland, Franklin and Colon) for always motivating her and pushing her to continue her running career.
