Cal State LA Athletics

2021-22: Was one of the team’s most prolific shooters in his one season with the program. Appeared in 12 games with three starts. Averaged 6.4 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. Played a total of 220 minutes. Was second on the team with 21 successful 3-pointers. Had a season-high 21 points against Bethesda (11-18-21). Was 6-of-8 from behind the 3-point arc. Also had 18 points and hit four 3-pointers against Simon Fraser (11-15-21). Had a season-high three rebounds against Cal State East Bay (12-2-21) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (12-4-21) and a season-high two assists against Biola (11-12-21) and Bethesda (11-18-21). Made his Cal State LA debut against Biola (11-12-21) and his first start at Cal State San Marcos (11-27-21).

2020-21: Earned 2020-21 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors in his first year with the program. Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

At Notre Dame de Namur: Had a big season for the Argonauts in his one year with the program. Averaged 14.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Was named PacWest Conference’s Player of the Week after pouring in a season-high 30 points against UC San Diego. Led the team in scoring and made a program record 90 successful 3-pointers. That mark ranks in the top-10 in PacWest Conference history. Scored 20 or more points nine times and reached double figures in scoring in 20 of 28 games. Averaged 16 points and four rebounds per game in two games against NCAA Division I opponents.

At Arizona State: Was on the roster for two seasons. Appeared in five games for the Sun Devils in the 2018-19 season.

At Moon Valley High School: Was a four-year varsity starter and earned first-team All-State honors as a senior. Was also named the Region Player of the Year. Averaged 18.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a senior and averaged 16 points and four rebounds per game as a junior. 

Personal: Son of Trevor and Susan Thompson. Majoring in liberal studies. Enjoys watching movies and cartoons, playing video games and making stop-motion films with his little brother, Trystan. Lists being the No. 2 ranked high school team in Arizona in 2016-1`7 and cutting down the nets after a region championship win and playing on the road in the Pac12 rivalry game against the University of Arizona at home as his most exciting experiences in sports.
