Cal State LA Athletics

2022-23: Was limited to just three games for the Golden Eagles due to injury in his final year with the program. Appeared in three games with two starts. Played a total of 68 minutes. Reached double figures in scoring all three games. Made his season debut and played 21 minutes against Cal State San Marcos (11-26-22). Had 11 points and a season-high nine rebounds. Was a major factor in a win at Chico State (12-1-22). Started and had 16 points and seven rebounds in 19 big minutes. Matched his season-high with 16 points and seven rebounds at Stanislaus State (12-3-22) in the final game of his Cal State LA career. For his career, appeared in 19 games with 18 starts. Played a total of 450 minutes. Averaged 12.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

2021-22: Had a strong season for the Golden Eagles in his first year on the court with the program. Was third on the team in scoring with 12.6 points and led the team in rebounding with 7.6 rebounds per game. Was sixth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in rebounding. Appeared in 16 games and started in all of them. Played a total of 382 minutes. Made his first appearance and first start for the Golden Eagles against Biola (11-12-21). Had 13 points and three rebounds in 20 minutes. Had a season-high 18 points in two games. Had 18 points and 10 rebounds at Concordia (11-13-21) and had 18 points and 12 rebounds against Azusa Pacific (11-23-21). Also had 17 points and seven rebounds at Cal State San Marcos (11-27-21). Had a season-high 16 rebounds against Cal State San Marcos (1-22-22). Had 15 points, nine rebounds and a season-high five blocks in an 87-72 win against San Francisco State (1-29-22). Had 14 points, five rebounds and a season-high five assists against Cal State East Bay (12-2-21). Reached double figures in scoring in 14 of 16 games and in rebounding in five times. Had five double-doubles.

2020-21: Was on the team roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

At Northern Arizona: Was on the 2019-20 roster, but did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.

At Dartmouth College: Played well for two seasons with the Big Green. Appeared in 48 games and made 19 starts while averaging 6.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. Averaged 8.3 points per game as a sophomore and 5.5 rebounds as a freshman. Began his sophomore season by averaging 14 points over the first six games and reaching double figures in scoring five times. Scored a career-high 25 points at Loyola Maryland. Also had 18 points against eventual Ivy league champion Yale, Missed eight of final 10 games due to injury. Shot 53.4 percent from the floor as a freshman and led the team in shooting percentage. Was just as effective behind the 3-point arc (17-of-32, 53.1 percent) as inside of it (38-of-71, 53.5 percent). Had 24 points and 14 rebounds in first collegiate start at Columbia.

At Santa Margarita High School: Played his final two high school seasons at Santa Margarita after playing his first two seasons at Tesoro High School. Was a three-year starter and averaged 18 points and nine rebound during his high-school career. Earned All-Orange County, All-Trinity League, All-CIF and All-State first-team honors. Scored a career-high 34 points against nationally-ranked Bishop Gorman (Nev.) and had 27 points against nationally-ranked Mater Dei. Named to the Orange County All-Star Game and was a McDonald’s All-America nominee.

Personal: Son of Ben and Jennifer Jackson. Majoring in Pan African studies with a liberal studies minor. Enjoys working out and trying new food spots. Lists playing against Davidson and Notre Dame in sold-out gyms as his most exciting experiences in sports. Notes he trains youth basketball players and runs basketball camps in the off-season.
