Cal State LA Athletics

2022-23: Contributed for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in seven games and played a total of 138 minutes. Averaged 4.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Made his Cal State LA debut and had seven points and three rebounds against Biola (11-11-22). Had a season-high eight points and a season-high seven rebounds in a 69-59 win against Azusa Pacific (11-15-22). Also had eight points and five rebounds while playing a season-high 32 minutes against Northwest Nazarene (11-17-22).

At Sam Houston State: Appeared in 32 games over two seasons with the Bearkats. Averaged 2.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in his second season with the Division I program.

At Culver City High School: Earned first-team All-Ocean League and All-CIF Division 2AA honors. Averaged 11.3 points and seven rebounds per game. Had 259 points, 156 rebounds and 15 blocks in his senior season.

Personal: Son of Marques and Leeann Johnson. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys going to the movies, swimming, watching anime, weightlifting, going on roller coasters, vinyl record shopping and listening to MF Doom. Lists watching the Milwaukee Bucks win the NBA Finals in person and winning the Senior Night game at Culver City High School as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes his favorite NBA player are Marques Johnson (his dad), Giannis Antetokounmpo and Dennis Rodman.
