2021: Was on the roster, but team did not compete due to COVID-19 in his final year with the program.

2020: Made big contributions in his first year with the program before the season was halted. Appeared in 13 games and started 11 times. Hit .190 with four hits in 21 at bats. Shared the team lead with two home runs, drove in six runs and scored three. Also contributed on the mound. Made five starts. Had a 1-3 record with a 7.65 earned run average. Made his pitching debut and went five innings against Northwest Nazarene on Feb. 8. Came back and went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI as the designated hitter against Dixie State later that day. Went 5 1/3 innings to pick up the win against Cal State Monterey Bay on Feb. 15. Allowed only two earned runs in an 8-4 victory. Struck out a season-high eight in four innings at Cal State Dominguez Hills on March 1. Hit home runs in both ends of a doubleheader at Stanislaus State on March 7. Gave the Golden Eagles a 2-0 lead with a two-run home run in the second inning of a 14-5 win in the opener and hit a solo shot in the nightcap. Earned 2019-20 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors.

At University of Hawaii-Hilo: Earned PacWest Conference Player of the Week recognition. Had a 10-9 record over two seasons with the Vulcans and was 6-2 in 2019. Led the staff in wins and innings pitched (61 2/3).

At Fountain Valley High School: Was the team’s Rookie of the Year and a four-year varsity team member.

Personal: Son of Sean and Vivian Burleson. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys going to the beach. Lists pitching a complete game victory against Point Loma to help Hawaii Hilo get second place in the PacWest Conference as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he likes to play Fortnite whenever he’s not working out or on the baseball field.
