Summary

Biography

2008: Had an outstanding second season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in all 29 matches and 107 sets. Had 102 kills and led the team with 119 blocks. Was also second on the team in aces with 28 and third in points with 194.5. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Recorded a career-high nine kills and tied a career high with seven blocks in a five-set win over UC San Diego on Oct. 17. Had a career-high seven aces, seven kills and two blocks for a career-high total of 15.0 points in a three-set win over Cal State Stanislaus on Sept. 26. Had seven blocks in a three-set win at UC San Diego on Sept. 12 and seven blocks and three aces in a four-set win over Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 10. For her career, appeared in 51 matches and played 175 sets. Had 145 kills, 185 blocks, 30 aces and 276.5 points. Picked up the athletic department’s Academic Achievement Award (female) for 2008-09.

2007: Appeared in 22 matches and played in 68 games in her first season for the Golden Eagles. Recorded 43 kills and 66 blocks. Recorded a season-high eight kills and added four blocks in a win over Sonoma State on Nov. 10. Also had seven kills and four blocks in a win over Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 21. Had a season-high seven blocks in a win at Chico State on Sept. 15. Was third on the team in blocks.
 
At Golden West College: Earned first-team All-Orange Empire Conference honors and ranked fifth in the state in blocks in 2006.
At UC Davis: Competed for one year for the Aggies in 2005. Appeared in 17 matches and played 34 games. Had 33 kills and 20 blocks.
At Sante Fe HS: Earned first-team All-Del Rio League honors as a junior and senior and was the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior. Was a two-time Athlete of the Week pick by the Whittier Daily News and was the varsity team’s Rookie of the Year as a freshman. Also competed in basketball and track and field in high school. Did the high jump, long jump and triple jump for the track and field team and helped it to three straight league titles. Also earned the U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.

Personal: Daughter of Herschel and Debbie McMahon. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys baking, being active, the beach, working with children and going on adventures. Lists winning the silver medal in the Junior Olympics in Atlanta in 2003 as her most exciting experience in sports. Plans on going into either nursing or teaching.
