Cal State LA Athletics

2008: Had a second tremendous season for the Golden Eagles and completed her outstanding two-year career with the program. Appeared in all 29 matches and 107 sets. Was second on the team with 315 kills, second in blocks with 79 and second in points with 364.5 points. Earned honorable mention All-America honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association of America. Earned honorable mention All-West Region honors from the AVCA and earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Was also named to the NCAA West Regional All-Tournament team. Had a career-high 19 kills in a five-set match at Chico State on Oct. 31. Also had 18 kills and six blocks in a three-set win over UC San Diego in a first-round NCAA playoff match on Nov. 20. Matched a career-high with seven blocks to go along with 12 kills in a five-set win over UC San Diego on Oct. 17. Had a career-high 11 digs to go along with 10 kills and four blocks in a four-set win over Central Washington on Aug. 30. Reached double figures in kills in 17 matches. Named Cal State L.A.'s Exceptional Student-Athlete of the Year (female) for 2008-09. For her career, appeared in 56 matches and 207 sets. Had 585 kills, 160 blocks and 680 points.

2007: Enjoyed an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Earned second-team All-CCAA honors. Appeared in 27 matches and started 20 times. Led the team in blocks with 81 and was fourth on the team in kills with 270. Finished the season strongly and recorded double-digit kills in four of the last five matches and eight of the last 11. Had a season-high 17 kills and four blocks in a win over Central Washington on Aug. 25. Also had 16 kills in matches against California (PA) on Aug. 24, BYU-Hawaii on Aug. 24 and Chico State on Oct. 19. Had a season-high seven blocks against Regis on Aug. 31 and UC San Diego on Oct. 10.

At Palm Beach Atlantic University: Earned second-team Independent Collegiate Athletic Association honors in 2006. Team went 25-15 and advanced to the National Christian College Athletic Association title game. Led the team in kills with 3.58 per game and blocks with 1.31 per game.

At Palm Beach Community College: Earned first-team All-State honors.

At E.E. Governador Milton Campos, Brazil: Competed in volleyball. Teams won local and state championships and advanced to play for a national championship.

Personal: Daughter of Lorivalda Vieira. Majoring in TV and Film Production. Enjoys watching television and films, the Internet, church and drawing and says she honors God in everything she does. Lists playing for the state team in Brazil that got back to play the following year after a bus accident involving the team as her most exciting experience in sports.
