Cal State LA Athletics

2018-19: Made positive contributions to the Golden Eagles in his one season with the program. Appeared in eight games with three starts. Played a total of 124 minutes. Averaged 8.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Set season highs with 18 points and eight rebounds against Azusa Pacific (11-13-18). Reached double figures in scoring twice. Also had 12 points and seven rebounds in a 79-61 win at Biola (11-10-18). Scored six points in 11 minutes in his Cal State LA debut, a 77-74 overtime win over Concordia (11-9-18). 

At Delaware State: Was outstanding in his one year with the NCAA Division I program. Appeared in 27 games and started 25 times. Was second on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game and led the squad in rebounding with 7.1 rebounds per contest. Also led the team in blocks with 29 and field-goal shooting percentage (61.2 percent).

At NW Florida College: Was part of a state championship team that advanced to the national semi-finals in 2015-16.

At Capistrano Valley Christian High School: Averaged 20 points and 18 rebounds as a senior. Earned All-CIF first team and All-CIF Defensive first team. Was the Orange County Athlete of the Year and received the Principal’s Seal and made the Honor’s List. Also competed in volleyball.

Personal: Son of Simon and Lilian Okolue. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys learning and reading articles. Notes that he lives in Laguna Niguel.
