Cal State LA Athletics

2018-19: Made contributions for the Golden Eagles in his one year with the program. Appeared in 10 games and played a total of 95 minutes. Averaged 2.7 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. Had a season-high 10 points and a season-high two assists in a 123-61 win over Bethesda on Dec. 7. Had a season-high two rebounds against Concordia-Irvine in a 77-74 overtime win on Nov. 9 and against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Dec. 19.

At Glendale City College: Earned All-State honorable mention and was a two-time first-team All-Conference selection. Was the Cypress Tournament Most Valuable Player and made the Compton All-Tournament team. Averaged 17.9 points in 54 games during his two-year career.

At Birmingham High School: Earned first-team All-City and first-team All-League honors after averaging 22.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a junior. Also lettered in track and field and competed in the high jump, long jump and triple jump.

Personal: Son of Momar and Tamara Athj. Majoring in business management. Enjoys playing basketball, spending time with his family and spending time with his friends. Lists traveling to Paris for basketball as well as Chicago, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Arkansas and Las Vegas as his most exciting experiences in sports. Played on ESPN as well.
