Cal State LA Athletics

2014: Had an outstanding season in her one year with the program. Appeared in 18 games with five starts. Played a total of 853 minutes. Was second on the team with seven goals. Added three assists for a total of 17 points, which was third on the team. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors and was named the CCAA Newcomer of the Year. Scored her first goal for Cal State LA in a 4-0 win over Dixie State on Sept. 11. Got the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Point Loma on Sept. 13.Had two goals in a 4-0 win over Humboldt State on Oct. 19.

At Taft College: Was the leading scorer at Taft with 44 goals and 18 assists in two seasons. Ranked third in the state for overall points and was an All-America nominee in 2013. Had 28 goals and 12 assists as a sophomore. Earned first-team All-Central Valley Conference honors and was the Central Valley Conference Forward of the Year.

At Highland High School: Competed in soccer and softball. Earned first-team All-League and All-Area honors as a senior and was the league’s Offensive Most Valuable Player as a junior. Earned the Jockey Club Award in 2011 and 2012. Scored 49 goals in three seasons.

Personal: Daughter of Elvia Valladares. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys cooking and swimming. Lists winning back-to-back valley championships in high school as her most exciting experiences in sports. Says she is the second youngest of seven siblings.
