Biography

At Fullerton College: Was the team’s Most Valuable Player and the Orange Empire Conference MVP as a sophomore. Earned All-Southern California regional honors. Team shared the conference championship and was ranked sixth in Southern California. Set records for most kills in a match and most kills in a season.
 
At Canyon High School: Earned first-team All-League honors as a junior and senior and second-team recognition as a sophomore. Was a scholar-athlete all four years in high school. Also played soccer and softball.
 
Personal: Daughter of Tim Laakso and Pam Stevens. Majoring in communications. Enjoys National Hockey League (Anaheim Ducks), Major League Baseball (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim), National Football League (Chicago Bears) and Dodgeball Champion ’06. Lists reaching the semi-finals of the CIF playoffs in her sophomore year of high school as her most exciting experience in sports.
