Cal State LA Athletics

2007: Was a big contributor for the Golden Eagles in her one season with the program. Appeared in all 27 matches and led the team with 101 sets played. Led the team with 360 digs and was second on the team with 27 service aces. Also had 53 set assists, 10 kills and four blocks. Had a season-high 31 digs and 10 set assists in a four-set win over Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 21. Had 27 digs in a four-set match at Sonoma State on Oct. 5. Had a season-high four aces in a four-set win over Regis on Aug. 31 and had a season-high four kills in a three-set match against Minnesota Duluth on Aug. 31. Reached double figures in digs in 19 times. 

At El Camino College: Was the Most Valuable Player of the South Coast Conference and earned AVCA first-team All-America honors as a sophomore. Earned first-team All-Conference honors as a freshman. Team won the conference twice and finished fifth in the state.

At Redondo High School: Earned first-team All-League honors as a senior and was the team’s Most Inspirational Player as a junior and senior. Was the team Most Valuable Player as a sophomore. Also competed in soccer in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Dave Witt and Debby Spainhour-Witt. Majoring in Art and Design. Enjoys volleyball, going to the beach, shopping and drawing. Lists making it to the championship game after being the underdogs in the playoffs during her junior year in high school as her most exciting experience in sports.
