IRVINE -- Cal State LA's beach volleyball picked up another victory Tuesday, this one coming against Westcliff University.
The Golden Eagles got wins from its top four pairs in a 4-1 win over the NAIA program in Irvine. Cal State LA (3-6), with wins over Hope International and Westcliff, is 2-1 in its last three matches.
Westcliff fell to 2-3.
Karla Santos and
Alejandra Negron continued their winning ways with a 21-17, 28-26 win at No. 1 pairs.
Janessa Mata and
Jessica Kaeka, who won the deciding match in the 3-2 win over Hope International last week, won at No. 2 pairs, 21-9, 21-17,
Sifa Faaiu and
Daisy Crenshaw won at No. 3 pairs, 21-13, 21-18,
Victoria Duarte and
Jeshmarie Suarez won at No. 4 pairs, 17-21, 21-18, 15-8 and
Caitlyn Bato and
Adriana Maldonado fell at No. 5 pairs, 21-14, 19-21, 15-7.
Cal State LA will return to action on Friday at Marymount.
