Summary

Biography

2021: Had an outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in the fall in her final year with the program. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors for the first time while earning All-CCAA recognition for the second time in her career. Also earned NCAA Division II West Regional All-Tournament and CCAA All-Tournament honors. Was third on the team with 258 kills, third in points with 297.5, third in service aces with 19 and fourth in digs with 216. Appeared in 28 matches and 95 sets. Recorded a career-high 23 kills in a four-set win over Cal Poly Pomona in an NCAA playoff match on Dec. 2. Followed that up with 18 kills in a three-set win at Cal State San Bernardino in an NCAA West Regional semifinal on Dec. 3. Reached double figures in kills 11 times. Had a season-high 16 digs against Azusa Pacific on Sept. 3. Reached double figures in digs nine times. Earned 2021-22 California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic honors and 2021 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. For her career, appeared in 102 matches and 364 sets. Had 860 kills, 1,038 points, 805 digs and 95 service aces.

2020: Was part of Cal State LA's No. 1 pairs in beach volleyball in the spring and had a 3-3 record with Karla Santos before the season was halted.

2019: Had an outstanding second beach volleyball season and was on the team’s No. 1 pairs with Karla Santos. That duo had a 10-1 record over the last 11 matches. Had her best season yet with Cal State LA’s indoor team in the fall and earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention recognition. Was third on the team with 223 kills, second in service aces with 43, third in digs with 216 and third in points with 289. Was seventh in the CCAA in service aces. Also filled in at setter after a midseason injury and had 118 set assists. Reached double figures in kills seven times. Had a career-high 22 kills and 15 digs in a four-set win at Cal State San Marcos on Nov. 9. Also had 19 kills and hit at a .607 percentage in a five-set match at Tarleton State. Recorded 18 kills and had a season-high 19 digs in a four-set match vs. Rockhurst.

2018: Was on the beach volleyball team’s No. 1 pairs along with Karla Santos in the spring. Had a second outstanding season with the Golden Eagles in indoor volleyball in the fall while batting through injuries. Was fifth on the team in kills with 151, fifth in digs with 164 and fourth in service aces with 18. Finished fifth on the team in points with 193.0. Reached double figures in kills seven times. Matched a season-high with 14 kills and recorded a season-high 20 digs in Cal State LA’s NCAA playoff match against Central Washington on Nov. 15. Also had 14 kills and 14 digs at Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 2. Was named to the 2018 CCAA Fall All-Academic Team.

2017: Had an outstanding first season with Cal State LA’s indoor team in the fall. Was third on the team in kills with 228, third in digs with 209 and second in service aces with 15. Finished third on the team in points with 258.5. Reached double figures in kills 12 times. Had a season-high 17 kills in a four-set win over Simon Fraser on Sept. 9 and had 16 kills in a four-set match at Cal State San Bernardino on Nov. 3. Had 14 kills and four blocks in a CCAA Tournament win over Sonoma State on Nov. 16. Received the CCAA Dr. Hal Charnofsky Memorial Award for achievement in the classroom and on the court for Cal State LA and also earned a CCAA All-Academic Award.

At Colegio Puertorriqueno de Ninas: Was the best scorer, best receiver and best spiker from the U-18 Norceca Championships. Selected on the Coaches’ All-Alliance Team Volleyball from the PRHSAA.

Personal: Daughter of Carlos Negron and Elaine Isaac. Majoring in biology. Enjoys reading books, spending time at the beach with family and friends and travelling to new places. Lists playing her first game with the National Team of Puerto Rico as her most exciting experience in sports. Notes she has a mini pig.
