Cal State LA Athletics

2021: Was on the beach volleyball team in the spring, but team did not compete due to COVID-19. Was on Cal State LA’s indoor team in the fall, but did not appear in any matches.

2020: Was on the indoor roster in the fall, but team did not compete due to COVID-19.

At Notre Dame de Namur: Was on the team roster, but did not compete in any matches in 2019.

At Incarnate Word: Did not compete in any matches.

At University of Texas at San Antonio: Appeared in three matches and seven sets for the Division I program and had a total of six kills. Was named the Incoming Freshman of the Year. Had a season-high three kills against SMU on Sept. 8, 2017.

At John B. Alexander High School: Was a four-year varsity player. Earned the team’s Most Valuable Player award as a junior and senior and earned first-team All-League honors both years. Was the Freshman of the Year and earned all-league honors and got the Best Hitter Award as a sophomore and all-league honors. Was a member of the National Honors Society for two years and made the school’s Honor Roll.

Personal: Daughter of Joe and Sandra Menchaca. Majoring in business management. Enjoys hanging out with friends and family, dancing and playing sports. Lists almost winning Junior Olympics, but getting second in the nation as her most exciting experience in sports. Says she loves animals.
