NORTHRIDGE -- Cal State LA's women's tennis team had another good showing Saturday at the CSUN Fall Invitational.

Playing in the Black bracket, Elizaveta Sokolova advanced to the semifinals via walkover before falling in a tight three-set match with Cal State Fullerton's Luxizi Meng in the semifinals, 7-6, 6-7, 6-4. Amanda Schneider beat Sara Khattab of UC Riverside in a consolation match, 6-0, 6-3, and then beat Kara Hinton of Azusa Pacific, 6-2, 7-5 to reach the consolation finals.

In the Silver bracket, Luciana DiLaura won consolation matches over Cece Cornelius of Oral Roberts, 6-1, 6-4 and Lauren Wolfe of UC Riverside, 6-0, 6-2, while Isabella Lopez fell in a quarterfinal match to Gorana Kadiljevic of Oral Roberts, 6-1, 7-6. She later fell to Jacqueline Tsodikova of UC Irvine, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2.

In the White bracket, Mariko Sagara won consolation matches over Natalie Penner of UC Riverside, 6-0, 6-1 and Tatiana Betancourt of Azusa Pacific, 6-1, 6-4. Chelsey Ruiz lost to Tatiana Betancourt of Azusa Pacific in a consolation match, 6-2, 6-4.

In the Blue bracket, Snezana Ivanovic fell to Tatum Phillips of Westmont,2-6, 6-3, 6-4 and Mariia Kuzmynskia of Oral Roberts, while Layna Schwartz fell to Karen Alvarez of Iowa State, 6-1, 6-1 and Valentina Gisbert of Oral Roberts, 6-4, 6-0.

In doubles, Sokolova and Schneider fell to Macias and Hassim of Youngstown State in a consolation match, 6-4, before beating Antonijevic and Kadeljevic of Oral Roberts, 6-4.

In the Black bracket, DiLaura and Lopez lost to Parker and Tsodikova of UC Irvine, 7-5, before beating Gulnova and Ugarkovic of Sacramento State, 6-4.

In the Gold bracket, Ivanovic and Schwartz fell to Jadulang and Valenzuela of Cal State Fullerton, 6-0 and Mercado and Gisbert of Oral Roberts, 6-0.
