Biography

2014: Concluded an outstanding four-year career with Cal State L.A. women's basketball team. Was one of two players to start all 28 games in the 2013-14 season. Played a total of 791 minutes. Averaged 7.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Was fifth on the team in scoring and third in rebounding. Was also second in blocks with 34. Hit the game-winning free throw in the final seconds of a 60-59 win over UC San Diego in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament semi-final. For her career, appeared in a program-record 110 games and started 63 times. Played a total of 2,127 minutes. Averaged 4.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

2013: Competed for a final season with the outdoor track and field team. Had a best mark of 4-9.75 in the high jump. For her career, had best marks of 12.65 in the 100, 25.67 in the 200, 60.78 in the 400, 2:39.45 in the 800, 15.85 in the 100 hurdles, 5-1.75 in the high jump, 14-4.50 in the long jump, 34-8.50 in the shot put and 99-3 in the javelin in outdoor track and field. Had best marks of 27.15 in the 200, 62.19 in the 400, 2:37.69 in the 800, 10.64 in the 60 hurdles, 5-0.50 in the high jump, 26-9.75 in the shot put and 2,273 points in the pentathlon in indoor track and field. Finished her career No. 6 all-time at Cal State L.A. in the pentathlon, tied for No. 6 all-time in the indoor high jump, No. 3 all-time on the indoor 4x400 relay team that had a best time of 3:54.38 and No. 7 all-time on the distance medley team that had a best time of 13:18.22.

2012: Competed for a third season with Cal State L.A.’s outdoor track and field team. Finished in a tie for sixth in the high jump and helped the Golden Eagles finish third in the conference. Also competed in the heptathlon. Had best marks of 26.04 in the 200, 15.98 in the 100 hurdles, 5-1.25 in the high jump, 11-5.50 in the long jump, 34-3.50 in the shot put and 62-10 in the javelin. Had a second strong season for the Cal State L.A. women’s basketball team in 2011-12. Appeared in 29 games and started seven times, including the final two games of the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championship Tournament. Got the start and contributed a season-high 10 points and six rebounds in a win over UC San Diego (3-2-12) in a conference semi-final game. Averaged 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game.
 
2011: Competed well for a second year with Cal State L.A.’s indoor and outdoor track and field teams. Had best marks of 25.67 in the 200 meters, 2:39.45 in the 800, 15.85 in the 100 hurdles, 5-1.75 in the high jump, 14-4.50 din the long jump, 34-8.50 in the shot put, 99-3 in the javelin in outdoor track and field. Posted a total of 3,995 points in the heptathlon and finished fifth in the CCAA. Had best marks of 2:37.69 in the 800 meters, 10.64 in the 60 hurdles, 5-0.50 in the high jump, 26-9.75 in the shot put and 2,273 points in the pentathlon in indoor track and field. Earned All-West Region honors in the 4x400 relay. Also made her debut on the basketball court for the Golden Eagles in 2010-11 and had an impressive season. Played in 23 games and made 15 starts. Led the team with 6.1 rebounds per game and was fifth on the team in scoring with 7.0 points per contest. Started the last four games of the season and eight of the last nine contests.
 
2010: Had a solid first season with the Golden Eagles. Had best marks of 12.65 in the 100 meters, 60.78 in the 400, 70.26 in the 400 hurdles and 4-11 in the high jump as a freshman. Earned second-team All-CCAA honors in the 4x400 relay and competed in nationals as part of the 4x400 relay team. That team finished 10th in the nation. Also competed for the Golden Eagles’ indoor track and field team and had best indoor marks of 27.15 in the 200 and 62.19 in the 400.
 
At Carson High School: Competed in basketball and track and field in high school. Was the team’s Most Valuable Athlete and named to the school Hall of Fame in track and field. Also earned All-City honors. Also earned All-League and All-City honors in basketball and was the team’s Most Valuable Player.
 
Personal: Daughter of Alvin Belt and the late Karen Bentley. Majoring in business. Enjoys playing pool. Lists competing in the NCAA Division II Track and Field nationals in North Carolina as part of Cal State L.A.’s 4x400 relay team as her most exciting experience in sports.
