Biography

2012: Had a second sensational season for the Golden Eagles to complete a tremendous two-year career with the program. Earned All-America honors after finishing eighth in the nation in the discus. Captured another California Collegiate Athletic Association championship by successfully defending his CCAA discus title. Also finished fifth in the conference in the hammer. Earned All-West Region honors in the discus. Had best marks of 50-5.50 in the shot put, 183-3 in the discus and 167-0 in the hammer. For his career, had best marks of 53-1.75 in the shot put, 183-3 in the discus and 182-9 in the hammer. Finished his career No. 2 all-time at Cal State L.A. in the discus and No. 5 in the hammer.

2011: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Was named the CCAA Field Athlete of the Meet after winning conference championships in the shot put and discus. Also earned All-CCAA honors in a third event, the hammer throw, after placing third. Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the discus with a mark of 178-1. Finished 11th in that event in the championships. Had best marks of 53-1.75 in the shot put and 182-9 in the hammer.
 
At Cal State Fullerton: Earned All-Big West Conference honors in the discus after finishing third in the conference in 2010. Also placed fourth in the hammer throw. Was an NCAA Division I West Regional Qualifier in the shot put and hammer throw with best marks of 55-11.25 in the shot put and 187-4 in the hammer.
 
At Junipero Serra High School: Was the CIF Division 4 shot put and discus champion in 2007. Was the team captain of a CIF championship team in 2007. Was the Del Rey League champion in the shot put in 2006-07. Was the team’s Most Valuable Field Athlete in 2006-07. Was on the All-Area Track Team for the City of Los Angeles in 2007.
 
Personal: Son of Keith and Roslyn Joseph. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys cartoons and power lifting. Lists winning the CIF championships in the shot put and discus in 2007 as his most exciting experiences in sports.
