Cal State LA Athletics

2012: Had another solid season for the Golden Eagles in his fourth and final year with the program. Had best marks of 48.48 in the 400 meters, 1:51.30 in the 800 meters and 4:07.55 in the 1,500. Was part of a California Collegiate Athletic Association championship 4x400 relay team. Also finished fourth in the conference in the 400 and ninth in the 800. Earned All-West Region honors in the 800 and 4x400 relay. For his career, had best marks of 48.48 in the 400, 1:51.30 in the 800 and 4:07.55 in the 1,500. 

2011: Had a third outstanding season for the Golden Eagles. Had a career best in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.96. Also had a best time of 4:15.30 in the 1,500. Finished fifth in the CCAA in the 800. Earned All-CCAA honors as part of the 4x400 relay team that finished third in the conference.
 
2010: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles. Finished ninth in the conference in the 800 meters at the CCAA Championships. Had the team’s best time in the 800 with a mark of 1:55.92. Also had a best time of 4:28.14 in the 1,500. Earned All-CCAA honors as part of the 4x400 relay team that finished third in the conference.
 
2009: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Recorded the best times on the team in the 400 meters (49.60) and 800 (1:54.19). Also had a best time of 4:24.70 in the 1,500. Finished seventh in the conference in the 800 at the CCAA Championships.
 
At Rodriguez High School: Was the team Most Valuable Player from 2005-08. Was the school Athlete of the Month in May and June of 2008. Was eighth in the 2008 CIF State finals in the 800 meters. Competed in track and field, football, basketball and cross country.
 
Personal: Son of James and Vani Tidwell. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys photography and film making. Lists running in the 2008 CIF State finals as his most exciting experience in sports.
