Cal State LA Athletics

2012: Had another outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his fourth and final year with the program. Finished second in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the pole vault to earn all-conference honors in that event for a third straight year. Also finished 15th in the conference in the high jump. Had best marks of 15-10 in the pole vault and 5-7.25 in the high jump. For his career, had best marks of 16-3.25 in the pole vault, 5-10 in the high jump, 21-3.25 in the long jump and 12.15 in the 100 meters. Finished his career No. 8 all-time in the pole vault at Cal State L.A.

2011: Had his best season with the Golden Eagles last year. Captured the California Collegiate Athletic Association championship in the pole vault and qualified for the national championships. Finished 11^th in that event at nationals. Earned All-West Region honors in the pole vault and had a best mark of 16-3.25. Also placed 10^th in the high jump at the conference meet.
 
2010: Had an outstanding second season with the Golden Eagles. Earned All-CCAA honors after placing third in the pole vault at the CCAA Championships. Had a best mark of 16-1.25 and posted an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.
 
2009: Had a solid first season with the Golden Eagles. Had a best mark of 14-8 in the pole vault. Finished fifth in the conference in that event at the CCAA Championships.
 
At Moorpark High School: Earned All-Ventura County first-team and All-Marmonte League honors in track and field.
 
Personal: Son of Jesse and Donna Tyler. Majoring in business economics. Enjoys cars, graphic design and fifa. Lists winning the CCAA Pole Vault championship with a personal record as his most exciting experience in sports.
