Cal State LA Athletics

2020: Was on Cal State LA’s track and field roster, but did not compete in any meets in the shortened season in his lone year with the program.

2019: Competed for Cal State LA’s cross country team in the fall. Ran in six races and was part of the team’s top-seven. Finished 81^st in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships with a time of 28:59.28 over 8,000 meters. Placed 168^th in the NCAA West Region Championships with a time of 33:58.2 over 10,000 meters.

At Riverside City College: Earned second-team All-Conference honors in the steeplechase and second-team All-Conference honors in the 5,000 in 2019.

At Chula Vista High School: Competed in soccer and track and field.

Personal: Son of Ana Vargas. Majoring in business accounting. Enjoys music, sports and drawing. Lists being a part of a state championship team as his most exciting experience in sports.
