Biography

2020: Had a sensational start to his third year with the program before the season was halted after three meets. Earned California Collegiate Athletic Association “All-Star” recognition. Had best marks early in the season of 21.22 in the 200 meters and 47.78 in the 400. Had already posted provisional qualifying mark in the 200. Had the No. 1 mark in the nation in both the 200 and 400. Also was part of Cal State LA’s 4x400 relay team that had a best mark of 3:19.54. That mark was No. 5 in the nation. For his career, had best marks of 11.40 in the 100, 21.22 in the 200 and 47.78 in the 400.

2019: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles before being injured late in the year and missing the CCAA Championships. Had best times of 22.15 in the 200 and 47.99 in the 400. Earned All-West Region honors as part of the 4x100 relay and was a key member of the 4x400 relay as well.

2018: Earned three All-California Collegiate Athletic Association awards as a freshman, including as part of a league champion 4x400 relay team. Also placed third in the 200 and 400. Had best times of 11.40 in the 100, 21.66 in the 200 and 48.37 in the 400.

At Redlands East Valley High School: Competed in football and track and field and earned All-CIF and All-Citrus Belt League honors.

Personal: Son of Anthony and Bridget Harper. Majoring in sociology. Lists drums, eating, running, improvement, cooking, kites and animals. Lists competition as his most exciting experience in sports. Notes he has a twin sister and two older brothers.
