2010: Had her best season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Appeared in all 20 games and started every game. Played a total of 1,793 minutes. Was second on the team in minutes played. For her career, appeared in 69 games with 53 starts. Played a total of 4,810 minutes. Had one goal and one assist for three points.
2009: Battled through injury and had another solid season for the Golden Eagles. Appeared in 13 games for Cal State L.A. and was a key substitute. Contributed one goal and one assist for three points. Picked up the first assist of her Cal State L.A. career on a goal by Stacey Rodwell at Cal State Monterey Bay in her season debut on Sept. 18. Scored her first career goal at Cal State L.A. against Cal State Stanislaus on Sept. 27. The goal tied the game at 1-1 in the second half and the Golden Eagles went on to win in double overtime. Missed the first six games and eight of the first nine games of the season. Saw playing time in the final nine matches.

2008: Suffered a season-ending injury in pre-season practice and did not compete for the Golden Eagles. Received a medical redshirt.

2007: Switched positions from a forward to a defender and was instrumental in the Golden Eagles’ outstanding defense. Started in all 23 games for Cal State L.A. Earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honorable mention. Contributed to a defense that allowed only 15 goals all season and permitted one or fewer goals in 20 of the 23 games, including 12 shutouts.

2006: Made an impact in her first year with the program. Appeared in 13 games and started 10 times for the Golden Eagles. Made her first career start at Cal State L.A. in the season-opening 3-1 win over Notre Dame de Namur on Aug. 28.
At Steele Canyon HS: Earned first-team All-League and second-team All-League honors. Won the Golden Boot Award and was the team’s Offensive Player of the Year. Also named the Outstanding Senior Athlete. Competed in soccer, volleyball, track and cross country in high school.
Personal: Daughter of John Schafer and Jeanne McLaren. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys hiking, drawing and reading novels. Lists making best friends as her most exciting experience in sports.
