Summary

Biography

2010: Had a second strong season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the track and field program. Had best times of 5:12.87 in the 1,500 meters and 11:58.07 in the steeplechase. For her career, had best marks of 5:12.87 in the 1,500, 10:43.75 in the 3,000 and 11:44.79 in the steeplechase. Finished her career No. 6 all-time at Cal State L.A. in the steeplechase. Had a fourth successful season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the women's soccer program in the fall. For her career, appeared in 69 games with 28 starts. Played a total of 2,371 minutes. Had one goal and five assists for seven points.

2009: Had a solid first year with the Cal State L.A. outdoor track and field team. Had best times of 10:43.75 in the 3,000, 11:44.79 in the 3,000 steeplechase, 19:12.58 in the 5,000 and 40:48.52 in the 10,000. Was part of a California Collegiate Athletic Association champion women’s soccer team in the fall and also contributed for the Cal State L.A. cross country team in its final two meets of the season. Finished 41st in the CCAA Championships and then was the team’s No. 3 runner while finishing 50th in the NCAA Division II West Regionals with a time of 23:17.1 over a 6,000-meter course.

2008: Had a second straight solid season for the Cal State L.A. women’s soccer team. Appeared in 13 games and started five times as a midfielder for the Golden Eagles. Earned her first career start for Cal State L.A. in a game at Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 12. Also started games against Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 14, Chico State on Oct. 3, Cal State Stanislaus on Oct. 5 and Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 10. Picked up the athletic department’s Academic Achievement Award (female) for 2007-08 and earned a CCAA All-Academic Award.

2007: Made an impact for the Golden Eagles in women’s soccer in her first season of competition at Cal State L.A. Appeared in 15 games, including all five of the team’s postseason contests. Picked up an assist on what turned out to be the game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over San Francisco State on Oct. 26.

At Chico State: Was a redshirt on the 2005 Chico State team that qualified for the NCAA Division II Tournament. Was also a member of the Wildcat cross country program. Was on the Dean’s List in 2005-06.

At Arroyo Grande High School: Was the Outstanding Runner on the cross country team in 2004 and the Most Outstanding Senior in 2005. Earned first-team All-League honors in cross country in 2004 and second-team honors in 2001 and 2003. Qualified for CIF competition in cross country all four years. Was part of a soccer program that reached the CIF Finals in 2004 and the semi-finals in 2005. Earned Renaissance Gold academic honors.

Personal: Daughter of Laurence and Priscilla Thomas. Majoring in mechanical engineering. Enjoys surfing, skateboarding, reading, camping and triathlons. Lists making it to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Division II playoffs last season as her most exciting experience in sports.
