Summary

Biography

2010: Competed well for the Golden Eagles in her one year with the track and field program. Had a best time of 11:24.54 in the 3,000 meters.

2009: Was one of Cal State L.A.’s top cross country runners in the fall. Just missed earning All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors after finishing 20th in the conference championships with a 6,000-meter time of 23:47.2. Was the team’s No. 2 runner in the NCAA Division II West Region championships and finished 31st with a 6,000-meter time of 22:44.6.

At Oxnard College: Was the Athlete of the Year at Oxnard College and earned the team MVP and Most Dedicated award in track and field and the Coaches’ Award in soccer. Set a new school record in the 400 and was third as a freshman and fourth as a sophomore in the Western State Finals. Placed seventh in Southern California.

At Santa Paula High School: Was the Frontier League champion in the 400 and in the long jump. Earned first-team All-Frontier League honors and second-team once and was the school’s MVP.

Personal: Daughter of Miguel and Martha Rios. Majoring in Kinesiology. Lists qualifying for the Southern California Finals and finishing seventh as her most exciting experience in sports.
