Biography

2024: Was on Cal State LA’s beach volleyball roster in the spring, but did not compete in any matches.

2023: Competed for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring and was active in all 10 matches. Played in four matches at No. 4 pairs and six matches at No. 5 pairs. Earned a 2022-23 D2 Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award and 2022 CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition. Was on the roster for the NCAA Division II, NCAA West Region and California Collegiate Athletic Association champions in the fall, but did not play due to injury.

2022: Competed for Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team for the first time in the spring and was a valuable member of the team. Earned 2021-22 CCAA All-Academic honors. Had a strong season for the NCAA Division II West Region and California Collegiate Athletic Association champions in the fall. Earned All-CCAA honorable mention recognition. Appeared in 24 matches and 74 sets. Was fourth on the team with 163 kills, seventh in aces with 11 and sixth in blocks with 34. Also had 49 digs. Had a career-high 20 kills and a career-high five blocks in a five-set win over Ferris State on Aug. 25. Also had 19 kills in a five-set match against Cal Poly Pomona on Sept. 24. Matched a career-high with three aces in a three-set win at Cal State San Marcos on Sept. 15. Had a season-high six digs in a three-set win over Stanislaus State on Sept. 9. Reached double figures in kills in six matches.

2021: Made immediate contributions as a member of Cal State LA’s indoor team in the fall. Appeared in 25 matches and 66 sets. Was fifth on the team in service aces with 17. Also had 49 kills, 50 digs and eight blocks. Had a season-high nine kills against Regis on Sept. 4. Had a season-high three aces in a four-set win over Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 1 and matched that in a three-set win over Cal State San Marcos on Oct. 22. Had a season-high seven digs in a three-set win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 16. Had two blocks against Regis on Sept. 4 and again in a win against Drury on Sept. 11.

At Quartz Hill High School: Was a team Most Valuable Player in 2018 and 2020. Earned All-League honors in 2020. Was on the school’s Honor Roll in 2018, 2020 and 2021.

Personal: Daughter of Lamont and Kendra Landers. Majoring in exercise science. Enjoys working out, helping others and cooking. Lists beating Cal State San Bernardino in the NCAA playoffs, winning the Alaska Tournament and making the final 16 for NCAA Division II as her most exciting experiences in sports. Says she wants to do personal training as well as physical therapy or athletic training.
