Cal State LA Athletics

2008: Made big contributions for the Golden Eagles in her one year with the program. Appeared in 18 games with 17 starts. Played a total of 1,212 minutes. Had two goals and three assists for seven points. Was third on the team in scoring. Had one goal and one assist in a 3-1 win at Humboldt State on Sept. 26. Scored the game-winning goal in a 4-1 victory against Chico State on Oct. 3. Had an assist on a goal by Khadijah Greenwood in a 1-1 tie against Cal State Stanislaus on Oct. 5 and had an assist on the go-ahead goal by Christine Buenrostro in a 3-1 win over Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 24. Made her Cal State LA debut and first start at Cal State San Marcos on Aug. 29.

At Santiago Community College: Earned first-team All-American honors and was the Orange Empire Conference’s Most Valuable Player as a sophomore. Led the conference in goals scored. Earned first-team All-Conference honors as a freshman and was the conference’s best offensive player. Team won a state championship in 2006 and was a state finalist in 2007. Team received a scholar award in 2006.

At Orange High School: Competed in soccer and volleyball. Received the Principal’s Award for having a 4.0 grade point average. Was the Most Improved Player on the volleyball team.

Personal: Daughter of Jon and Teri Califf. Majoring in speech pathology. Enjoys sports, reading, singing, watching movies, video games and art. Lists winning the state championship in her first year at Santiago as her most exciting experience in sports. Brother Danny Califf has been a member of the U.S. National Team and played for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
