Summary

Biography

2008: Had another sensational season for the Golden Eagles and completed her outstanding four-year career with the program. Appeared in all 19 games and started all of them. Played a total of 1,558 minutes and led the team in minutes played. Had two goals and two assists for six points. Earned third-team All-West Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and second-team honors from the California Collegiate Athletic Association. Scored her first goal of the season in a 2-1 win at Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 10 and got her second in a 2-1 win at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 17. Picked up assists on a goal by Janet De La O against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sept. 21 and on a goal by Liz Franco against Seattle Pacific on Nov. 1. For her career, appeared in 79 games and started all 79. Played a total of 6,572 minutes. Had six goals and three assists for 15 points. Finished her career No. 1 all-time in games played and No. 1 in minutes played in program history.

2007: Had an outstanding junior season for the Golden Eagles and earned first-team NSCAA All-Far West Region honors as well as first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association accolades. Started all 23 games for Cal State L.A. and helped the team record the best season in the program’s history. Team allowed only 15 goals all season and permitted one or fewer goals in 20 of the 23 games, including 12 shutouts.
 
2006: Had her second straight impressive season for the Golden Eagles. Earned All-CCAA second-team honors. Started in all 19 games for the Golden Eagles. Led all defenders with three goals and six points. Scored her first goal of the season in a 2-1 win at Sonoma State on Sept. 10. Added another goal in the Golden Eagles’ next game, a 2-1 win over Cal State Bakersfield on Sept. 13. Got the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 15.
2005: Made an immediate impact for the Golden Eagles as a freshman. Earned All-CCAA honorable mention after starting in 18 matches for Cal State L.A. Had one goal and one assist for a total of three points. Scored the game-winning goal in her Cal State L.A. debut, a 2-0 win over Vanguard on Aug. 25. Added an assist on Cal State L.A.’s lone goal in a 4-1 loss at Cal State Dominguez Hills on Oct. 26.
At Sheldon High School: Was a three-year captain in high school and earned Most Valuable Player honors twice. Earned Defensive Player of the Year award twice and earned first-team All-Delta League honors four times. Also earned the Elk Grove Pride award.

Personal: Daughter of Ray and Susan Mitchell. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys golf, tennis and poker. Lists making it to the NCAA Division II playoffs, being ranked 15th in the nation and reaching the CCAA Championship Game as her most exciting experiences in sports. Coaches the Crescenta Valley Girls Junior Varsity soccer team and is an assistant coach for the Crescenta Valley Girls U-12 soccer club.
