Cal State LA Athletics

2017: Competed for the Golden Eagles' indoor track and field team in his final year with the program. Had best times of 7.03 in the 60 meters and 22.52 in the 200.

2016: Had a second outstanding season with the Golden Eagles. Had  the team’s best times in the 100 and 200 meters. Was part of the California Collegiate Athletic Association champion 4x100 relay team and also earned All-CCAA third-team honors after finishing third in both the 100 and 200. Earned All-West Region honors in the 100, 4x100 and 4x400 relay. Posted an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the 100 with a time of 10.52. Also had a best time of 21.63 in the 200. For his career, had best times of 10.51 in the 100 and 21.63 in the 200.

2015: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Placed in four events at the CCAA championships. Finished sixth in the 100 meters, fourth in the 200 and was part of the Cal State LA 4x100 relay team that finished second and the 4x400 relay team that took fourth. Had an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying best mark of 10.51 in the 100. Also had a best time of 21.69 in the 200.

At Chaffey College: Was the Pacific Coast Conference champion in the 100 meters in 2013-14 and finished second in the conference in the 200. Placed third in the 100 at the Southern California Championships and finished fifth in the state in the 100. Had best times of 10.47 in the 100 and 21.32 in the 200.

At Silverado High School: Earned All-League honors in track and field. Competed in football, basketball and track.

Personal: Son of Leroy and Rachel Griffith. Majoring in Kinesiology. Enjoys eating and watching anime. Lists winning the conference title in the 100 at Chaffey College and making it to the state meet and scoring his first touchdown as a senior in high school as his most exciting experiences in sports. Says he is always happy.
