Summary

Biography

2015-16: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Appeared in 29 games with 15 starts. Played a total of 791 minutes. Averaged 14.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Earned second-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Led the team in scoring and rebounding. Scored 26 points and set a new career high with 15 rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles to a 54-37 win at top-seed Chico State in a first-round California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament game. Matched a career high with 30 points in an 84-82 win over Cal State San Bernardino (12-18-15). Also had 28 points in a 63-49 win over San Francisco State (1-30-16). Reached double figures in scoring 19 games, including 13 of the last 14 games of the season. Scored 20 or more points eight times. For his career, appeared in 54 games with 36 starts. Played a total of 1,424 minutes. Averaged 13.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

2013-14: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Was third on the team in scoring with a 13.2 points per game average. Scored a season-high 30 points to lead the Golden Eagles to an 84-78 win at Humboldt State (2-20-14). Also had 30 points against Cal State San Bernardino (3-1-14). Also had 27 points in a 62-59 win over Cal State Stanislaus (2-15-14). Scored 20 or more points seven times, including five of the last six games of the season. Reached double figures in scoring 14 times. Shot 45.3 percent from the floor and 73.1 percent from the free-throw line.

At Weber State: Was on the roster, but did not play in a game and was a redshirt.

At Barstow Community College: Led the Vikings in scoring as a sophomore with 17.4 points per game.

At Arizona Western Junior College: Saw action in 31 games as a freshman and helped lead the team to a 23-9 record. Averaged 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

At Crenshaw High School: Was the league Most Valuable Player and a two-time team MVP. Earned All-City and All-League honors twice. Competed in basketball, tennis, cross country and track and field.

Personal: Son of Abdullah and Darlene Zaid. Majoring in fire protection administration and technology. Enjoys family time and traveling. Lists signing his final scholarship as his most exciting experience in sports.
