Cal State LA Athletics

2014: Had a second sensational season for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Had best marks of 11.37 in the 100, 22.48 in the 200, 50.58 in the 400 and 22-5 in the shot put. Was a part of a California Collegiate Athletic Association championship 4x400 relay team for a second straight season. Ran a strong second leg during the championship run. Also placed 10th in the conference in the 400 meters. For his career, had best marks of 11.37 in the 100, 22.48 in the 200, 49.81 in the 400 and 22-5 in the shot put.

2013: Had an outstanding first season with the Golden Eagles. Ran the first leg on the Cal State L.A. 4x400 relay team that won a California Collegiate Athletic Association championship and qualified for nationals. Team finished 10^th at the NCAA prelims and just missed qualifying for the finals. Had a best time of 49.81 in the 400.

At Merritt College: Finished fourth in the Big 8 Conference.

At Oakland High School: Competed in football and basketball in high school. Basketball team went to the state quarterfinals. Was on the Honor Roll as a senior with a 3.6 grade point average.

Personal: Son of Thomas and Diane Watkins. Majoring in television and film production. Enjoys Super Smash Bros and walks on the beach. Lists running the first leg on the 4x400 relay team at the NCAA Division II nationals as his most exciting experience in sports.
