2015: Was on the roster, but did not compete in any meets for the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. For his career, had best marks of 22.26 in the 200 and 47.57 in the 400 and competed in nationals in 2014.

2014: Had the team’s best 400-meter time in 2014 with a mark of 47.57 and recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Finished fifth in the CCAA and earned All-West Region honors in that event. Ran the opening leg of the conference champion 4x400 relay team. Also had a best mark of 22.26 in the 200. Finished 23rd in the nation in the 400 at the NCAA Championships.

At Compton Junior College: Finished second in the conference in the 400 meters in his one year with the program.

At University of Texas, El Paso: Was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year. Was part of conference championship 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

At Dominguez High School: Had best times of 46.60 in the 400 and 21.41 in the 200. Was the state runner-up in the 400 and a state champion in the 4x400 relay. Was also on a 4x100 relay team that finished second. Team won the 2008 championship.

Personal: Son of Rhonda Maxey. Majoring in sociology. Lists winning the high school state team title as his most exciting experience in sports.
