2014: Had a sensational senior season for the Golden Eagles to complete an outstanding four-year career with the program. Qualified for the NCAA Championships in the long jump and finished 16th in the nation. Had a best mark of 24-3.50 and earned All-West Region honors. Placed fourth in the long jump at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Also had a best mark of 10.86 in the 100 and finished eighth in the CCAA in that event. Was part of Cal State L.A.'s 4x100 relay team that finished third in the conference and earned All-Conference honors. For his career, had best marks of 10.86 in the 100 and 24-3.50 in the long jump.

2013: Competed well in his third season with the program. Finished ninth in the CCAA in the long jump with a mark of 21-11.

2012: Had a second solid season with the Golden Eagles as a sophomore. Placed in the CCAA Championships in the long jump, finishing seventh in the event. Had a best mark of 22-9.75 in the long jump and 11.34 in the 100.

2011: Had a strong first season with the Golden Eagles as a freshman. Posted a best mark of 23-4.75 in the long jump at the CCAA Championships. Finished fifth in the event for the Golden Eagles.

At San Lorenzo High School: Earned two varsity letters in track and field. Was an Honor Roll student.

Personal: Son of Brent and Gina Kirven. Majoring in television and film. Enjoys going “hyphy.” Lists jumping at UC Berkeley’s Edwards Stadium and the AAU West Coast Junior Olympics in Reno as his most exciting experiences in sports.
