Cal State LA Athletics

2013: Had a sensational second season with the Golden Eagles in his final year with the program. Won the California Collegiate Athletic Association championship in the decathlon with a total of 6,758 points. Finished eighth in the nation in the decathlon and earned All-America honors. Earned All-West Region honors. Also earned a provisional qualifying mark in the javelin. Finished third in that event to earn all-conference honors. Had best marks of 6,758 points in the decathlon, 198-3 in the javelin, 11.26 in the 100, 53.27 in the 400, 4:59.66 in the 1,500, 15.81 in the 110 hurdles, 6-0 in the high jump, 14-3.25 in the pole vault, 22-9 in the long jump, 39-10.75 in the shot put, 122-9 in the discus. For his career, had best marks of 6,758 points in the decathlon and 200-4 in the javelin. Finished his career No. 10 all-time at Cal State L.A. in the decathlon.

2012: Had an outstanding first year with the Golden Eagles. Finished second in the CCAA in the decathlon and earned second-team All-CCAA honors. Also placed fourth in the conference in the javelin. Had a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the decathlon with 6,400 points. Also had a provisional qualifying mark in the javelin with a throw of 200-4. Earned All-West Region honors in the javelin.

At San Joaquin Delta College: Was the team MVP for two years and captured the state decathlon championship with 6,618 points in 2011. Holds the school record in the event and was also the NorCal decathlon champion and finished second in the javelin.

At Lodi High School: Competed in track and field, basketball and football. Was the MVP of the track and field and basketball teams and set the school record in the triple jump. Placed first in the league in the long jump and triple jump and was second in the 200. Team finished first in the league in basketball and track and field.

Personal: Son of Larry and Carly Hubbard. Majoring in art. Enjoys wakeboarding and music. Lists winning the state championship in the decathlon as his most exciting experience in sports.
