Cal State LA Athletics

2012-13: A talented track and field student-athlete, appeared in two games and played a total of four minutes with the women's basketball program. Made her debut and played two minutes against Azusa Pacific (11-13-12). Also played two minutes and grabbed one rebound in a 72-38 win against Point Loma (11-24-12).

At Cal State L.A.: Completed an outstanding four-year career with the Golden Eagle track and field program in 2011-12. Shared the Billie Jean King Award as Cal State L.A.’s top female athlete. Won a pair of All-America awards, one each in indoor and outdoor track and field and was named the NCAA Division II West Region Field Athlete of the Year in indoor track and field. Captured heptathlon and long jump titles at the CCAA Championships and was named the conference’s Field Athlete of the Year. Finished her track and field career at Cal State L.A. with five All-America awards in the pentathlon (indoor) and heptathlon (outdoor) and is the program’s record holder in both events. Was named the West Region Field Athlete of the Year in outdoor track in 2011 and was named the CCAA Freshman of the Year in 2009.
 
At Palisades Charter High School: Competed in track and field and basketball. Graduated with honors. Was a city champion in the high jump and averaged 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists per game in basketball. Earned All-City honors in track and field and was a member of the school’s Dean’s List.
 
Personal: Daughter of Sharon Huntley. Majored in psychology and has started graduate school at Cal State L.A.. Enjoys watching movies, You Tube, sleeping and eating. Lists receiving her first All-America award while setting a school record in the heptathlon as her most exciting experience in sports. Says she loves a challenge.
