Summary

Biography

2013-14: Had a tremendous second season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Was one of three players who started all 28 games. Led the team with 851 minutes played. Averaged 14.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Led the team in scoring, assists (64) and 3-pointers made (49). Earned first-team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors. Scored a career-high 31 points in an 85-67 win over Cal State San Marcos (11-29-13). Also had a team-high 23 points in CCAA Tournament championship game against Cal Poly Pomona (3-7-14). Had 21 points and a season-high five assists in a 77-63 win over Humboldt State (1-18-14). Reached double figures in scoring 22 times. For her career, appeared in 60 games and started 49 times. Played a total of 1,634 minutes. Averaged 10.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Had 150 career assists (2.5 per game). Was one of two Cal State L.A. recipients of the 2013-14 Dr. Hal Charnofsky Memorial Award from the CCAA for academic and athletic accomplishments. Earned CCAA All-Academic honors.

2012-13: Had an impressive first season for the Golden Eagles. Led the team in assists and was second in scoring. Averaged 7.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. Appeared in 32 games and started 21 times. Had a season-high 16 points in a 64-56 win at Sonoma State (1-11-13) and 16 points and a season-high seven assists in a 59-53 win at San Francisco State (1-12-13). Also had 15 points in a home overtime win over Humboldt State (1-25-13) and a 62-42 win over Cal Poly Pomona (1-26-13). Also had 15 points in a 76-70 win at Humboldt State (3-1-13). Reached double figures in scoring 12 times. Hit 82.1 percent of her free throws.

At New Mexico State: Appeared in 16 games for the Aggies. Averaged 6.8 minutes per game and 0.9 points and 0.8 rebounds per game. Earned 2012 Academic All-Western Athletic Conference honors.

At Terrigal High School: Was the Central Coast Academy of Sport Female Athlete of the Year and the MVP for the All Schools National Championship. Also earned the Sydney North Blue star excellence award for basketball, which is the highest award for all state schools. Competed in touch football, basketball, netball and soccer.

Personal: Daughter of Terese Melville. Majoring in child development. Enjoys sports. Lists meeting Ray Allen as her most exciting experience in sports. Is Cal State L.A.’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee president for 2013-14.
