Summary

Biography

2011: Had a strong season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Finished fourth in the long jump at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Also placed 10th in the conference in the 100 hurdles, 11th in the 100 meters and 12th in the triple jump. Had best marks of 12.53 in the 100, 27.13 in the 200, 14.96 in the 100 hurdles, 18-3.25 in the long jump and 34-8.25 in the triple jump. Also excelled once again during the indoor track season. Had best marks of 9.43 in the 60 hurdles and 17-10.25 in the long jump. Earned All-West Region honors in the long jump and as part of the 4x400 relay team. For her career, had best marks of 12.15 in the 100, 25.85 in the 200, 14.65 in the 100 hurdles, 18-3.25 in the long jump and 34-8.25 in the triple jump in outdoor track and 8.27 in the 60, 9.43 in the 60 hurdles, 17-10.25 in the long jump and 35-00.25 in the triple jump in indoor track. Finished her career No. 6 all-time at Cal State L.A. in the 60 hurdles and No. 10 all-time in the triple jump in indoor track and No. 10 all-time as part of the 4x400 relay team in outdoor track.

2010: Battled through injuries for the Golden Eagles in her second season with the program. Earned points in the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships by finishing eighth in the long jump. Also competed in the triple jump and 100 hurdles at the conference meet. Had best marks of 16.71 in the 100 hurdles, 16-11.50 in the long jump and 34-7.75 in the triple jump. Competed for the Golden Eagles in indoor track and field as well. Had best marks of 8.27 in the 60 meters, 9.64 in the 60 hurdles and 34-10.50 in the triple jump.

2009: Was a top sprinter and hurdler for the Golden Eagles in her first season with the program and earned All-America honors in the 4x100 relay in outdoor track and field. That team finished third in the nation. The 4x100 relay team also placed second in the California Collegiate Athletic Association and earned All-CCAA honors. Finished eighth in the conference in the 100 hurdles. Had best times of 12.15 in the 100 and 25.85 in the 200 and had the team’s best time in the 100 hurdles (14.65). Also competed in the heptathlon and had a best mark of 3,727. Competed well for the Golden Eagles’ indoor track and field team. Had best marks of 9.74 in the 60 hurdles and 35-00.25 in the triple jump.

At Northern Arizona University: Earned letters in track and field.

At San Diego High School: Competed in track and field, basketball and volleyball. Was on the school’s academic Honor Roll, won the Sportsmanship Award in a CIF basketball game and was the Athlete of the Week twice in track and field.

Personal: Daughter of George and Shannon Ridley. Majoring in criminal justice. Enjoys text messaging and shopping. Lists winning a CIF championship in basketball as her most exciting experience in sports. Is pursuing a minor in sociology and a certificate in child maltreatment and family violence.
