Summary

Biography

2011: Had a second outstanding season for the Golden Eagles in her final year with the program. Finished fourth as a member of the 4x100 team and sixth as a member of the 4x400 relay team at the California Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. Also finished seventh in the conference in the 400 meters and 10th in the 200. Had best marks of 12.46 in the 100, 25.14 in the 200, 55.72 in the 400 and 2:22.19 in the 800. Also had a second great indoor season. Had a best mark of 57.69 in the 400 and earned All-Region honors. For her career, had best marks of 12.46 in the 100, 25.00 in the 200 and 55.72 in the 400 in outdoor track and 26.35 in the 200 and 57.69 in the 400 in indoor track. Finished her career No. 3 all-time at Cal State L.A. in the indoor 400 and No. 2 and No. 3 all-time on indoor 4x400 relay teams.

2010: Earned All-America honors in indoor track and field as part of the 4x400 relay team that finished eighth in the national championships. That team had the fourth-best qualifying mark with a time of 3:48.37. Had top indoor times of 26.35 in the 200 and 58.43 in the 400. Qualified for nationals in three events in outdoor track and field as part of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams and also in the 400. The 4x100 relay team finished ninth, the 4x400 relay team was 10th. Placed 18th overall in the 400. Earned second-team All-CCAA honors as part of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams. Had best times of 12.60 in the 100, 25.00 in the 200 and 55.75 in the 400.

At Riverside Community College: Recorded best times of 56.65 in the 400 meters, 25.28 in the 200 and 12.6 in the 100. Was the conference champion in the 400 meters twice and also the Southern California champion in the 400 meters. Placed fourth in the state championships in that event.

At Los Osos High School: Had best times of 24.9 in the 200, 57.5 in the 400 and 2:21 in the 800. Finished third in the league and qualified for CIF Finals as a junior and senior. Competed in cross country and track and field in high school.

Personal: Daughter of Denise Manuel. Majoring in sociology. Enjoys dancing and poetry. Lists competing in CIF Finals in high school as her most exciting experience in sports.
