Nevaeh Asiasi Earns CCAA Player Of The Week Honors

LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's Nevaeh Asiasi has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Asiasi averaged 27.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per game to help lead the Golden Eagles to a pair of wins and a new program record of 10 consecutive wins. The senior guard shot .550 percent from the field (22-of-40), 3-of-4 from 3-point range, and 7-of-10 at the free throw line. She also added six assists, seven steals, and a block.

She opened the week by scoring a career-high 30 points in a 101-57 win over Cal State East Bay on Thursday. She went 13-of-23 from the field and had five steals. She followed up with a career-high 16 rebounds to go along with 24 points against San Francisco State.

Asiasi now ranks second in the CCAA in scoring (18.3 ppg) and third in rebounding (9.1 rpg). She is also second in steals (2.76) and first in minutes played (37.12).

She has now scored 20 or more points in a game 10 times this season and has eight double-doubles.

This is Asiasi's third CCAA Player of the Week award in 2025-26, which is the most for a Cal State LA player since Tessondra Williams also won three weekly awards in the 2012-13 season. As a team, Cal State LA now has five weekly awards with Sofia Fidelus earning the honor twice.

Cal State LA (16-5, 13-3 CCAA) will be at home this week to host Cal State Monterey Bay (11-10, 8-8 CCAA) and Cal State San Marcos (7-14, 4-12 CCAA). The Cal State LA-Cal State Monterey Bay game on Thursday has been selected as the CCAA Game of the Week.
