LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's Erick Alamo was honored with the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award after an explosive weekend in which he tallied three goals across two matches, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Alamo also earned National Player of the Week honors from the D2SIDA on Tuesday after helping the Golden Eagles to a pair of big home victories.

On Friday, Alamo helped the Golden Eagles to a 3-1 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay. After subbing in, he netted a goal in the 39th minute, which was only his 12th minute on the pitch, giving LA a 2-1 advantage just two minutes after the Golden Eagles had erased a 1-0 deficit.

Alamo continued his offensive surge on Sunday, scoring the first two goals in a 3-0 win over Chico State. Once again coming in off the bench, he recorded two goals and had a game-high four shots. going into Sunday's match in a 3-0 shutout victory against Chico State. His first goal, a one-touch blast from the top of the box, opened the scoring in the 37th minute and his second, a side-winding shot in the final minute of the first half, made it 2-0.

With four goals on the year, Alamo now ranks seventh among the CCAA's top 10 scorers.

This marks Alamo's first career CCAA Player of the Week honor and the first weekly award for Cal State LA this season.

Cal State LA will return to action on Friday at Cal State East Bay traveling to face Cal State East Bay on Friday before hosting Cal State Dominguez Hills in University Stadium on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Los Angeles University Stadium. Both matches are available to view on FloCollege.
