LOS ANGELES -- Cal State LA's women's track and field team had some strong performances Thursday at the annual Twilight Open.

Mya Ferguson set a new season's best in the 100 hurdles while finishing third in 14.37, while Valexsia Droughn ran her season's best with a time of 12.21 while finishing fourth in the 100.

Ja'Narie Rhambo picked up a victory for the Golden Eagles by capturing the hammer throw with a season's best mark of 152-8 in competition on Wednesday at Cerritos College.

Dericka Braden finished sixth in the 200 with a season's best time of 25.53 and she also placed third in the 400 with a time of 58.54.

Javany McDermott was second in the high jump with a mark of 5-1, third in the triple jump with a mark of 36-7.75 and ninth in the long jump with a mark of 16-11.25.
