Summer Stevenson, the 2026 NCAA Division II triple jump national champion, has been selected by the conference coaches as the 2026 CCAA Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Year, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Â
Stevenson became the first CCAA student-athlete to win an individual national championship since 2017 when she captured the triple jump title with a career-best mark of 42-5.25.
Â
Stevenson was also voted the CCAA Newcomer of the Meet after an exceptional effort at the CCAA Championships last month. She earned points in three events at the championships, including winning the triple jump with a facility record and NCAA provisional standard mark of 41-4.25. Stevenson also placed fourth in the long jump (18-6.50) and helped the Golden Eagles' 4x100m relay team finish fifth.
Â
She was also an All-West Region selection in both the triple jump and the long jump, where she ranked fourth in the West with an NCAA provisional standard mark of 19-4.
Â
Stevenson is the first Golden Eagle to win CCAA Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Year honors since Lisa Ohberg in 2013.Â
