SANTA MONICA -- Cal State LA's beach volleyball team ended its second season of competition with a victory.
The Golden Eagles took to the beach at Santa Monica on Wednesday, and, in chilly conditions, earned a 4-1 victory over Santa Monica College.
Karla Santos and
Alejandra Negron were outstanding once again as they posted a victory at No. 1 pairs, 21-15, 21-9.
Bailey Anderson and
Janessa Mata recorded a 21-9, 26-24 win at No. 2 pairs,
Erianna Williams and
Michelle Boyd dropped a tough three-set decision at No. 3 pairs, 17-21, 21-19, 15-11,
Victoria Duarte and
Caitlyn Bato posted a 21-16, 21-16 victory at No. 4 pairs and
Daisy Crenshaw and
Jeshmarie Suarez won at No. 5 pairs, 21-12, 21-9.
Cal State LA finished its season with a 3-9 record and competed primarily against NCAA Division I programs.
