Cal State LA Athletics

2017: Had her best season with Cal State LA and saw her most playing time. Appeared in 23 matches and a total of 72 sets. Was fourth on the team in service aces with 15. Also had 31 digs. Recorded two aces in matches against Simon Fraser on Sept. 1, at Cal State Monterey Bay on Oct. 21 and against Sonoma State on Oct. 28. Had a season-high six digs in a win at Chico State on Sept. 15. Also competed for a second season with Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2018).

2016: Appeared in four matches and a total of seven sets for the Golden Eagles. Had six digs and one set assist. Had six digs in match against Cal State East Bay on Oct. 8. Was a member of Cal State LA’s first beach volleyball team in the spring (2017).

2015: Joined the Cal State LA program, but did not compete in any games and was a redshirt.

At Nogales High School: Earned second-team All-League honors. Competed in volleyball and track and field.

Personal: Daughter of Michael and Edith Bato. Majoring in biology. Enjoys reading, watching moves and spending time with family. Lists reaching the conference tournament semi-finals in 2017 as her most exciting experience in sports.
