Summary

Biography

2017: Had a tremendous first season with Cal State LA last fall. Was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Newcomer of the Year, becoming only the fourth Cal State LA player to earn that award. Earned first-team All-CCAA honors as well. Led the team in blocks with 67 and was second on the team in kills with 259. Finished second on the team in points with 304.5. Was one of two players to play in all 100 sets for the Golden Eagles. Had a season-high 23 kills, two aces and two blocks at Stanislaus State on Sept. 16. Also had 16 kills and three blocks at Cal Poly Pomona on Nov. 4. Reached double figures in kills 13 times. Had a season-high seven blocks against Sonoma State on Oct. 28. Was also one of the top players on Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2018).

At Chaminade: Had an outstanding two-year career in Hawaii. Earned second-team All-Pac West Conference honors as a sophomore in 2016. Set a new program record with 118 total blocks. Was second in the conference in attack percentage (.335) and fifth in blocks (1.02 per set). Was named the PacWest Freshman of the Year in 2015 and earned all-conference honorable mention honors. Was also named to the conference academic honor roll and was the team’s Most Inspirational Player in 2015. Had 103 blocks during her first season. Was the first player in program history to record multiple 100-block seasons. Was a key player on Cal State LA’s beach volleyball team in the spring (2017).

At Norco High School: Graduated with honors. Was a four-year starter and earned all-league honors all four years, including three times on the first team beginning her sophomore year. Was named the team’s Most Valuable Player, Offensive Player of the Year , Most Inspirational Player and also named a team captain. Earned first-team All-CIF honors as a junior and sophomore. Was also named the Offensive Player of the Year. Named as the league and school Most Valuable Player as a junior.
 
Personal: Daughter of Tommie LaBrie. Majoring in psychology. Enjoys gong to the beach and hiking. Lists winning the gold medal at junior nationals in 2012 and winning silver in 2015 as her most exciting experiences in sports.
