BAKERSFIELD -- Cal State LA's first beach volleyball team wrapped up its season on Saturday with a hard-fought loss to NCAA Division I Cal State Bakersfield.
With injuries knocking their roster down to eight players, the Golden Eagles fell to the Roadrunners, 4-0, at the Barnes Beach Volleyball Complex.

Kelsey Molnar played well at the No. 1 position, falling to Carol Grasso and Sara Little, 21-17, 21-14,
JamieAnn Bero and
Lauren Gomez battled in a 21-9, 21-12 loss to Jocelyn Rodriguez and Madi Busler at No. 2,
Cynthia Giron and
Daisia LaBrie dropped a close 25-23, 21-15 decision to Sarah Garrow and Ashley Prater at No. 3 and
Caitlyn Bato and
Sifa Faaiu fought hard int a 21-8, 21-16 loss to Ally Barber and Kayla Tinker at No. 4.
Later, in an exhibition match, Lofrano and Molnar picked up a win over Bakersfield College's Mackenzie Hernandez and Hannah Pope, 21-17, 21-7.
