NORTHRIDGE -- Cal State LA's women's tennis team concluded play in the CSUN Fall Invitational at Cal State Northridge with another encouraging day of results.
Elizaveta Sokolova defeated Mari Tashgyan of Cal State Northridge, 6-3, 6-1, to finish third in the Black singles division, while 
Amanda Schneider lost to Imaan Hassim of Youngstown State, 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 in the consolation final. In the Silver bracket, Luciana DiLaura beat Ashlynn Hall to win the consolation title, 6-4, 6-4, while 
Isabella Lopez fell to Gillian Parker of UC Irvine, 6-2, 6-2. 
Mariko Sagara, after winning the consolation bracket of the White division on Saturday, dropped an extra match on Sunday, 4-6, 2-1, to Karen Alvarez.
Lopez and DiLaura won their final match in the Black division, 6-1, over Pierson-Cheung-Damonte of Westmont, while Sokolova and Schneider fell to Naimba-Teufl of Youngstown State, 6-1. In the Gold Division, Sagara and 
Layna Schwartz won their final match in the Gold division, 6-3, over Hall and Dean of UC Irvine.
The tournament concludes the fall portion of Cal State LA's schedule. The Golden Eagles will open their regular season on Feb. 3 at Westmont College.
